With the development of social economy and Urbanization process, the high-rise building structure is become more and more, which is bound to increase in the number of demand for vertical transport-the elevator, and the corresponding elevator functional testing of structures is also more and more. Elevator-tower is commonly high-rise structure with the character of being high, soft, light, slim and so on. This kind of structure is sensitive to the wind load and which is usually play decisive role in the structure design. So the safety of the structure under wind load and comfort become one of the key points in structure design. At the same time, elevator safety-running-test is becoming the main research subject, while the structure is vibrated by AMD. Based on the information of a high-rise elevator-tower with large aspect ratios, this thesis studies the wind effect and wind-induced response through wind tunnel test and also combining with theoretical analysis and design Codes. content of this paper includes the following aspects:(1)First, analysis of the similarities and differences of across-wind acceleration along four wind Codes, to explore the applicability of the method in high-rise structures. Result analysis of comparative experiment, so as to select suitable method for high-rise structures to compute the acceleration and the corresponding evaluating standard.(2)Then, pneumatic load characteristics and wind-induced response are researched. The results show that indentation of structure facade change the vortex shedding form of across-wind axis and reduce the effect of across-wind significantly. Besides, only considering the first modal can still get a relatively accurate wind-induced response.(3)Finally, researching on the experiment design of using AMD to motive the structure until target displacement. Basic parameters of the excitation mechanism are achieved through the analysis of the related parameters.Simultaneously, results show that although the vibration test condition is not the controlling conditions but design checking is essential.
