Structural model is the core issue of geotechnical engineering research in the 21 st century.Granite residual soil is a typical structural soil, which is widely distributed over East China and South China, and we often encountered it in engineering.However, because the research of the structural granite residual soil is not in-depth enough, thus it falls behind research the loess, expansive soil and special soil’ research, especially the structure of granite residual soil, which can produce extraordinarily effect on soil deformation.In order to predict the deformation of the granite residual soil more accurately in engineering, as well as avoid the waste of resources result from conservative engineering calculation, therefore, the research of structural granite residual soil have extraordinarily significance.On the basis of the collection of relevant literature and the understanding of predecessors’ achievements, this article made the introduction of the process of granite residual soil’s study and carried on a brief summary about the development of research structural of methods.First, Put the granite residual soil from a large deep foundation pit in shenzhen as the research object, through the soil test to obtain basic physical property parameters of the soil;The undisturbed granite residual soil and remolded granite residual soil are conducted structural analysis respectively through triaxial test and compression test.Secondly, Granite residual soil of Cambridge model parameters were analyzed on the basis of the test, and the structural in the Cambridge model mainly for failure line translation as well as the compression CUrve of e-lnp more paragraphs; Using the structural characterization of Cambridge model parameters, the influence of structural parameters is introduced into the modified Cambridge model, built a new structural Cambridge model, and conducted the derivation of a yield function as wellAgain, by using ABAQUS software, which is suitable for geotechnical engineering, check the structural Cambridge model, simulation of the indoor triaxial undrained test, compared with the traditional MCC model calCUlation results found that structural model better reflect the strain softening of the soil, and stress-strain relationship also has higher fitting degree.Finally, establishing a numerical analysis model of a large deep foundation pit in shenzhen, using structural Cambridge model to numerically simulate the excavation process. The results show that the structural model of Cambridge can better reflect the deformation of soil compared with MCC model in engineering.
