by the end of 2014. As a developed coastal area, the totally highway mileage of Guangdong has reached 6,280 kilometers, ranked 1 in China, most of highway has been built with asphalt pavement structure. Nowadays, despite of the technique of asphalt pavement has made considerable progress, due to the special climatic conditions of high temperature and rainfall in Guangdong area, the research related to solve pavement’s safety of rainy performance is still insufficient, it can’t content the industry’s needs at the present stage.OGFC with large scale air voids in the surface of pavement, this kind of pavement structure could make rainfall infiltration directly, the water in the structure of OGFC could be penetrated easily to the outside of pavement, the way of penetrate water could reduce the runoff on the road surface, meanwhile improve the safety of driving in rainy days. OGFC also belongs to framework-pore structure, the framework of asphalt concrete could approve steady mechanical properties in the condition of high temperature. on the other side, OGFC has other advantages, such as anti-slide performance, noise reduction. according to all the properties of OGFC,the research of OGFC adapt to the special climatic condition of Guangdong is valuable.The research depended on combination gap gradation theory and CAVF method, optimize design method of OGFC-13, stress skeleton’s ability of interlocked in asphalt mixture, so it can realize well texture and durability. Adopt the kneading machine evaluate the long-term performance of OGFC-13, to explore the factors of mixture about the long-term properties. Accord to the rainfall intensity of Guangdong area, considering of both the drainage and anti-damage of water, chose the scale of porosities. Finally in the term of long-term properties, chose the objective porosities.At last, the test road is paved rely on Baomao highway of Guangdong territory project, apply the improved of CAVF method to design the mix of OGFC-13. The result of laboratory test evaluate the mixture is suitable for test road.
