Lye reinforcement is a kind of chemical reinforcement method, which is commonly used in the treatment of collapsible loess foundation. The current study of lye reinforcement concentrated on reinforcement mechanism and effect evaluation but the research on the strength of the reinforced soil did not consider the density and temperature,and lacked the research of solidified body’s durability, stability and the influence law of grouting parameters on the grouting effect. This essay is based on the shortage of lye reinforcement to carry out research work.This essay combined loess’ s chemical property and mineral composition to analyze the mechanism of lye reinforcement. Through unconfined compression test to reveal the optimal dosage is closely related to the plasticity index of loess and find reasonable lye mixing amount, dry density, curing temperature and find proper relationship between lye and loess strength.Research reinforced loess’ s water stability and freezing resistance through freeze-thaw cycles test and strength test. The results show that under the condition of long-time water submerging single fluid reinforcement’s strength would gradually decrease but dual fluid reinforcement just the reverse. Through freeze-thaw cycles test to find the law between strength reduction rate and lye mixing amount. According to the test results, dual fluid reinforcement had better freeze-thaw resistance ability.Combine grouting property and loess microstructure to analyze the groutability of loess. Study the influence of grouting time, grouting pressure, and initial water content on grouting effect through field test and self-developed grouting machine. Build relationships among reinforcement radius, grouting amount, initial water content, grouting time and grouting pressure. Through the original reinforcement’s sample’s non-confining compression strength test to analyze the strengthen distribution law and provide the valuable engineering reference.
