Axial piston motor has advantage on displacement, torque, efficiency and other characteristic, which is widely used in various industrial fields. Valve plate is an important component of axial piston motor. The damping structure of valve plate has great relationship with the flow and pressure change in the plunger and instantaneous displacement of piston motor, which will affect the characteristic of speed and torque. According to the above problems, taking the damping structure of valve plate as the research object, this paper completed the calculation of flow area, and established the model of axial piston motor with AMESim software, aiming at reducing the difference of speed and torque of piston motor respectively, explored the relationship between damping structure and output characteristic under constant torque condition, which provided the reference for the design of the damping structure within axial piston motor. The main research in this paper is as follows:Firstly, according to the basic structure, working principle and kinematical rule of the axial piston motor, the mathematical model of instantaneous torque motor was established, which provided the theoretical basis for modeling and simulation.Secondly, four kinds of damping structure were introduced respectively: triangle-shaped groove, U-shaped groove, parabolic-shaped groove and damping orifice. The flow area model with different damping structure was established. The value of flow areas were calculated by Matlab software. The changing rule under different parameters was analyzed.Thirdly, the simulation model of swash plate axial piston motor was established by AMESim software with power bond graph method. The simulation curve of submodel was consistent with the theoretical analysis.Fourthly, the characteristic of speed and torque within axial piston motor was studied through computer simulation under constant torque condition, using AMESim software combined with MATLAB software. It was concluded that damping structure had an influence on the speed and torque ripple of piston motor. The result of this research could be fundamental to the optimal design of damping structure.
