Double-rotor wind turbine researched in this thesis is a new kind of wind turbines, which is coaxial connected with a permanent magnet synchronous machine and a three phase asynchronous machine. This kind of wind turbine has smaller capacity, and its structure is designed as direct drive structure without gearbox and inverter. Wind turbine with double-rotor structure has free drift function, simplifies the yaw device, and can make full use of wind power. Therefore, it gets attention of experts all over the world.This thesis regards the new double-rotor wind turbine as the research object, based on the analysis of its structure and work principles, elicits its mathematic model under the d-q axis with the use of the theory of transformation of coordinates, and builds its simulation model in Matlab/Simulink to verify the correctness of model. For the new double-rotor wind turbine, a new control strategy has been proposed to achieve maximum wind power tracing under the state of variable speed constant frequency. And the control algorithm for pitch control has been also discussed and researched. Finally, three kinds of control algorithms have been compared through the simulation. The results show that fuzzy and PID and fuzzy-PID controller have better dynamic behavior and adaptive ability than traditional PID controller.The last chapter introduces the concept of wisdom wind farm, analyzes the advantages of double-rotor wind turbine, and proposes its application in wisdom wind farm.
