With the rapid development of China’s industrial levels, transformer as an important element of the power transmission is also bound to follow the development. The growing status of power the transmission put forward transformer new demands.Transformer not only be able to stabilize the work, but also requires reliability, safety, no fire, no explosion, clean pollution, noise control, energy conservation and reduction feature covers. So the use of phase change heat transfer design of the new principle of evaporation cooling type transformer have come into being. This paper is mainly engaged in the research of new evaporation cooling transform er design and The numerical simulation.Research evaporation cooling transformer work s, comparing with traditional cooling ways to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of evaporation cooling transformer.Combined with the practical requirements, determin e submerged for the internal of transformer; use cooling coil type for cooling structure; select coolant R113 for internal coolant. According to the structure and working principl e of the transformer, analyze the heat transfer ways of the various parts of the transforme r and calculate the heat transfer coefficient for each surface.Identified coil diameter, inn er tube and pipe fluid in the fluid flow rate initially to design cooling structure reasonabl y. Designed 15 numerical simulation working conditions basing on different velocity, pi pe diameter and spacing, analyze the impact of three factors on the thermal performanc e of the cooling structure through the simulation results.Designed 13 numerical simulati on working conditions basing on different transformer wall temperature, liquid level he ight and winding height, analyze the impact of three factors on the thermal performance of winding through simulation results.
