Because of the influence of the energy crisis and environmental pollution, governments pay more and more attention to the development and utilization of new energy. Lithium batteries as a storage device widely used by researchers on Robotics and electric vehicles.Real-time monitor to the lithium batteries’ status is needed to satisfy the lithium battery‘s parameters collection and the integrated management of it. This article bases on PIC18F45K80 chip to complete these tasks as below: Firstly, setting up a lithium battery parameters collection platform, which uses LTC6802 chip, hall element ACS712 and thermistor to complete the collection of the lithium battery voltage, current, temperature. And collectting the change of lithium battery’s working voltage, current, temperature and the state of change(SOC),and showing these information on the upper machine by the serial port. By monitoring battery parameters,it can make reasonable management once the problems like overflow of the voltage, current and temperature occurred, and remind the users to disconnect electrical equipment.In this way, the battery’s life is extended and the security of the system is improved. Secondly, save the gathering information and comprehensive analysis of the basic properties of lithium battery voltage, resistance, capacity and coulombic efficiency to research the effect with different discharge rate according to the datas. Finally, using the BP neural network to estimate the SOC of lithium battery. In theory based on BP network, after a lot of experienments, determined the BP network structure of each layer, the number of neurons, the training function and so on.At the same time, with the mounts of experiments of the training sets, the structure of the training set and the network training effect are improved gradually, using MATLAB as the platform, to carry on the network training experiment,and using the training network to estimate the tested samples data, which achieved good results.Through the studies of the parameters collection and management system of the lithium battery based on PIC18F45K80,it shows that: this system can realize the lithium battery voltage, current, temperature and other information’s collection accurately Hardware collection module can communicate with LABVIEW upper machine effectively, and use MATLAB analysis the collected data to realize the estimation of SOC of lithium battery, which makes the lithium battery management more convenient, and achieves the design requirements.
