Security and stability of the power system has gotten more attention along with the development of grid and increase in the number of nodes. It is likely to develop a chain of failures or result in blackouts if you fail to take appropriate measures immediately after grid failure. The current transient stability analysis includes numerical integration method, the direct method and artificial intelligence, etc. These methods have some deficiencies in terms of speed and accuracy. Blackout defense measures mainly include prevention control, emergency control and recovery control. Emergency control refers to the control measure which prevents power system instability or blackouts. The current transient stability analysis and emergency control cutting machine algorithms have some shortcomings in terms of both speed and accuracy, so a new method needs to be presented. Therefore, the study of real-time transient stability emergency control has important theoretical significance and practical value.Firstly, the traditional method for screening the critical cluster has shortage in accuracy. This thesis presents a new method for screening the critical cluster. By combining with real-time measurement technology of PMU, this thesis uses composite power angle variation constituted by the rotor angular velocity, unbalanced power generators and control variables to achieve the screening of the critical cluster. Compared with traditional screening methods, simulation result shows this method has advantages.Secondly, the fleet equivalents based on SGEAC has inadequate. This thesis presents a stable discrimination method. By comparing the stability margin based on SGEAC with the equivalent of a cluster stability margin reference frame, a stable discrimination method is presented based on the rotor angle. The simulation verifies the correctness of the transient stability analysis method.Thirdly, the traditional cutting machine algorithm based on SGEAC has inadequate. This thesis presents a new strategy of cutting machine. By comparing stand-alone group based on SGEAC with two fleets based on EEAC, this thesis improves the kinetic of energy balance. Taking into account accelerated area of equivalent machine, this thesis presents a new strategy of cutting machine.Finally, the traditional cutting machine combination confuses. This thesis presents a practical program of cutting machine combination. Based on the critical cluster screening, transient stability analysis and cutting machine, this thesis completes real-time transient stability emergency control simulation in 10-machine 39-bus system based on PSASP.
