| In recent years, the strength and reliability of ship structure have been paid much attention and concern. A Ship in navigation may suffer various collision or grounding accidents, which will make the ship structure different degree of damages, or even collapse globally to wreck. In order to make effective measures for damaged ship succor or drag and avoid disastrous consequences and subsequent pollution marine environment, it is necessary to assess the residual ultimate strength of the damaged ship.The residual strength of damaged ship and the loads have obvious randomness, so a program based on probability model and the reliability methods has been developed to analyze the reliability of damaged hull.In this paper, the probability distribution of damage parameters are analyzed, and the selection of breach range and failure district is discussed. With consideration of the asymmetry of the residual cross section and shift of ship, a program is developed to calculate the residual strength of damaged ship based on the new rules by CCS. The residual strength of several damaged ships are calculated and the influence of several main factors to the residual strength are analyzed. The statistical characteristic values of the residual ultimate strength are calculated through the method of Rosenblueth. Finally, the reliability of ultimate strength of a damaged bulk carrier is analyzed, using the improved response surface method. |
