Underground pipeline is an important part of urban infrastructure and a basic information of urban planning and construction management. Every year, a lot of financial resources was invested to build and maintain the urban underground pipelines. Pipe gallery, is a variety of pipeline such as gas, electricity, telecommunications, water supply, rain water, sewage and garbage and all of them are jointly laid in an underground space in the municipal pipes. With the development of the city, requirements for pipeline section is increasing and the complexity of underground pipeline construction has increased, so that the construction of a pipe gallery is increasingly complex.Due to the special nature of uncertainties in underground construction, tunnel construction is increasingly complex. Meanwhile, there is finite space in the tunnel, a variety of construction activities need to share the limited space and limited equipment. Since during the tunnel construction process may have various unforeseen factors, accurate simulation of construction is challenging. Based on the simulation platform, policy-makers can quickly test the feasibility of various construction schemes, thereby avoiding costly field-tested. To better understand the construction process, and on this basis, optimising resources, reducing delays, we use simulation (Discrete event simulation) method to simulate construction process and assess the the efficiency and duration of the construction project. Based on in-depth knowledge of the construction process of the tunnel, this paper has developed a simulation model based on SYMPHONY simulation platform. The model encompasses the process of shield excavation, lining and measurement process. Meanwhile, in order to overcome the different geological conditions in the construction schedule of different issues, this paper utilized a set of measured data to obtain TBM machine construction progress at different types of rock and soil environments.
