With the development of the modern industrial technology, lots of nonlinear power electronic devices are widely used in the medical ship power system. Although the production efficiency is improved, a large number of harmonic and sub harmonic components are injected into the power network, which cause great damage to the power system. Therefore, the harmonic control in the current has important practical significance. There are many methods of harmonic suppression,active power filter(APF) is one of the most effective methods. However, the research of active power filter is mainly concentrated on the three-phase power system. The research of single phase system is not mature enough and single phase equipments are widely used, so the research has important significance.This paper studies the single-phase parallel active power filters on medical ship power system and establishes the experimental platform of 10KVA/220 V, by experiment and simulation shows its good filtering effect. The main work of this paper is as follows:At the beginning of the paper, it introduces the definition, harm and treatment methods of the harmonics, describes the research significance and status of single-phase active power filter, and proposes the basic structure and the principle of active filter.Two important parts of single-phase active power filter are described: detection circuit of harmonic and reactive current, and control circuit of compensation current. In the detection circuit,the paper analyzes the single-phase detection methods that based on the theory of instantaneous reactive power theory and based on Fourier series. By comparing the advantages and disadvantages,the latter structure is more simple and real-time is good. In the control circuit, triangle wave control strategy is chosen, which meet the control requirements and simpler. Meanwhile, the paper describes the space vector control, which is a kind of higher precision and better control mode.The single-phase active power filter is designed, and the simulation tool MATLAB/Simulink is used to model each part. From the experimental and simulation results, the detection method based on Fourier series can accurately detect the harmonic instructions, and show the correctness and feasibility of the theoretical analysis.
