Concrete Materials in engineering is widely used, but the material itself is brittle also limit its application to some extent, high-performance polymer modified concrete or mortar has good bending strength, shrinkage and corrosion resistance, etc. It can be used as an ideal building material. By preparing five groups of concrete specimens with polymer content of 0%,5%, 10%, 15%, 20% to study the mechanical properties and durability of epoxy resin emulsion modified cement concrete, provide a theoretical basis for the practical application of kinds of materials. In this paper, the main work and achievements accomplished as follows:Experimental study of the influence of polymer content on the mechanical properties of ordinary concrete compression testing by the mechanical properties, tensile test, flexural test and modulus of elasticity. Compared with ordinary concrete, polymer-modified cement concrete compressive strength not enhance, but the tensile strength and flexural strength increased, the elastic modulus decreased. When polymer- cement ratio was about 10% the mechanical properties of concrete is better.In this paper the durability of polymer modified cement concrete was analyzed through antifreeze test, experiment carbonation, chloride ion diffusion test, sulfate corrosion test. After adding polymer emulsion the antifreeze grade increased and the quality loss reduced. Compared with ordinary concrete carbonation depth decreases, when the polymer content was 15% to 20%, the carbonation depth was reduced about 55% and got the best carbonation resistance. The resistance to chloride ion permeability of polymer modified cement concrete gradually increases with the polymer dosage increases. With the increase of the polymer content, the strength corrosion coefficient of the polymer-modified cement concrete was increased and then decreased. When the polymer content was 10% to 15%, the resistance to sulfate corrosion of concrete can be better.The freezeproof durability of concrete were analysed from material injury angle of apparent injury, weight loss, relative dynamic elastic modulus variation, remaining flexural strength and get bending strength injury attenuation formula.By electron microscopy test, observe changes in the microstructure of plain concrete and polymer modified concrete carbonation before and after. Combined with a large number of theorists study analyzes the epoxy resin emulsion modified mechanism of ordinary concrete. After the incorporation of an appropriate amount of polymer can increase the density of concrete and improve the mechanical properties and durability.
