The deteriorating natural lets the all countries in the world are very concerned about the problem of environment. Fuel automobile causes air pollution and noise pollution. So many parts of the world attaches great importance to the dual-source dual-source trolleybus. According to the dual-source trolleybus development plan of Beijing bus group in 2013-2017, by the end of 2017, Beijing will increase 55 dual-source trolleybus line and more than two thousand dual-source trolleybus, at the same time, expanding the grid around Beijing.If we want to make use of the grid reasonably and effectively, we need to evaluate the maximum capacity of shunt. Firstly, this article studies the dual-source trolleybus grid, including the power supply system, the limiting factors of maximum capacity, the influence factors of maximum capacity. Then, on this basis, adopting three methods to estimate shunt maximum capacity, they are DIgSILENT modeling method, the formula method and using BP algorithm estimates, the DIgSILENT modeling method is comparatively accurate and complicated. the formula method is comparatively simple, but the accuracy is comparatively low. the group of 20 samples prove that using BP algorithm estimates is comparatively accurate and simple, the workers just need to know the shunt parameters, they can get the maximum capacity by the estimate interface, we can chose this method preferential or chose the other methods according to the situation.Then, analyzing the modification of the existing grid and the design methods of new grid. For the existing shunt, according to the change of shunt capacity decide whether connect the disconnected shunts. For the design of new grid, getting the influence law of the influence factors to the maximum capacity by using DIgSILENT software, then giving some suggestions to the selection of the shunt parameters. According to the usage of battery and charging state, obtaining the biggest off-line distance, off-line proportion and the charging distance and charging time when off-line a certain distance.In the end, analyzing the double-source trolleybus operation modes(according to the dual-source trolleybus energy sources and using), according to the statistical dual-source trolleybus speed to determine the energy consumption rate, according to the energy consumption rate to determine the average power of one dual-source trolleybus. getting the maximum number of dual-source trolleybus in one shunt calculation formula under different modes. Then, calculating maximum capacity of some shunts. The consequence providing theoretical basis for the Beijing dual-source trolleybus development plan.
