With the global plunge of fossil energy and worsening environmental problems, microgrid, which comprises mainly wind, solar and other renewable energy sources and energy storage devices, has achieved great advance. A review of energy development trends tells us that the development of microgrid and distributed energy has become an issue as important as a national strategy with the successive formulation and corresponding implementation of a series of national energy conservation and emission reduction policies. In the future, it is certain that more distributed energy will be accessed to power system.To achieve the economic optimization of microgrid operation, we need to calculate the controlled quantity of microgrid coordinated control. As the permeability of distributed energy in micro grid keeps increasing, its economic optimization has become increasingly complex. Therefore, we need further study the algorithm of micro grid power coordination and optimization.This paper focuses on the coordinated control and the energy management of micro-grid system. Its main contents are as follows.(1) The paper studies the development of national and international microgrid technology summarizes key technologies in microgrid research. The paper introduces fundamental theories of microgrid operation and control.(2) External characteristic mathematical model of distributed generations (DGs) including wind turbine and storage battery are established according to the requirement of actual constraint. Meanwhile, regarding the minimum consumption costs from external grid as the objective function, grey prediction model with residual modification and support vector machine (SVM) model is introduced to output predictive power of wind turbine and load at specific periods.(3) Based on the basic framework of receding horizon optimization, mixed integer linear programming (MILP), genetic algorithm (GA) and improved evolutionary algorithm for complex-process optimization (IEACOP) is applied to figure out the optimum solution in predictive horizon for the complex non-linear coordination control model of microgrid.(4) The paper identifies the design goal and the structure of a kind of microgrid-controlled system platform and expounds on the design of system software.Optimized management of micro-grid energy in nature is a kind of discrete, non-linear, multi-objective optimized combination. The paper studies the predicative methods and control strategies more applicable to microgrid. The obtained results show that the method is a viable approach for energy coordinative optimization of microgrid system for energy flow and reasonable schedule. The effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method is verified by example.
