With the continuous improvement of people’s living standards, the car’s power, economy and ride comfort requirements are increasing. At the same time, the demand on engine power’s rising, leading to the total number of parts in the cabin is increasing. Also, the cabin space becomes more and more compact. In order to meet the driver’s wide field of vision, improve driving safety, which resulting in engine compartment height and continue being depressed, the engine bay will be more compact than before, but it will meet the heat problem in the engine.With the rapid development of the expressway, use car travel must face to the quite large temperature difference from cold areas to heat area, even though the temperature difference can reach 80 degrees, for the same models to meet the needs of people in different regions, we must have good climate adaptability. With the continuous improvement of the car power, economy and comfortable requirements for people, designers tend to focus on streamline design, low body models, and leave the car launched cabin space smaller, arrangement is more and more compact.This paper is based on the vehicle development, influence the vehicle performance as the basis, using computational fluid dynamics(CFD) analysis field cold flow field analysis, vehicle engine compartment temperature on the vehicle, the simulation results into the air cooling system cannot meet the target requirements, and to find out the engine compartment relatively overheated parts, put forward the improvement measures reasonable, engine management problems were successfully solved. This paper mainly studies the following content:The flow field analysis, verify the quantity of heat the original cooling system deficiencies, and put forward the optimization suggestion is reasonable, which increasing the cooling system air guiding plate; and the rationality of optimization of the cooling system of the air guide plate, which meet the performance requirements, but also reduces the manufacturing cost; the process is as follows, the simulation for the high temperature region of the cabin the combination of simulation and optimization phase, put forward reasonable improvement plan; through the comparison of simulation results and experimental results verify the feasibilityAnalysis, simulation analysis, successfully solved the engine management problems, to a certain extent, saving the research costs.The importance of engine bay thermal management is more clear understanding in the process of analysis of cabin thermal management. In the process of new product development in the future, we must try to avoid problems related to engine overheating, to produce high quality products to lay a solid foundation.
