Flux-switching permanent magnet motor as a new stator permanent magnet motor overcomes the disadvantages of the traditional rotor permanent magnet type motor and is considered to be the most potential for popularization and application in doubly salient permanent magnet motor. However, due to its special structure and higher the air gap flux density, the cogging torque of flux-switching permanent magnet motor far from traditional permanent magnet motor. It also exists another inherently problems of permanent magnet motor——flux-adjust difficultly.The background and research status of flux-switching motor are introduced. Then to 12/10 pole flux-switching permanent magnet motor as an example, introduces the structure and working principle in detail,including the principle of flux-switching and the consistency of the windings and complementary of magnetic circuit, reveals the reason that back electromotive force with high sinusoidal, and to establish its mathematical model, laid a theoretical foundation for the brushless ac control.Design the size of the three-phase 12/10 flux-switching permanent magnet motor, through the finite element software analysis its magnetic properties(including no-load permanent magnet magnetic field and armature response magnetic field, permanent magnet flux linkage, the cogging torque and back electromotive force), the result is well corresponding with the theory. Consider the larger cogging torque and the influence of mutual inductance, vector control simulation system was established that can be more real reaction physical model based on the software——Matlab/Simulink, the simulation results show that it has goodsteady and dynamic performance.Aiming at the question of the cogging torque is bigger, through to analysis the cogging torque harmonic of the 12/10 pole flux-switching permanent magnet motor and the traditional method of weakening the cogging torque, put forward the strategy of combining the rotor step skewing and rotor chamfer, the objective function is established for quantitative analysis, show that the strategy is simple and effective. For the magnetic hard to adjust, this paper proposes a flux-adjust topology ——flux-switching hybrid-excitation motor, its working principle is analyzed in detail. And considering saturation characteristic, in view of the flux-adjust characteristics and E type flux-switching hybrid-excitation motor is analyzed. According to the different excitation flux path, study the effect of the rotor pole to flux-adjusting, finite element simulation results show that it has strong flux-adjusting capability.
