As a widely-used equipment connecting grid, transformer plays a key role in power transmission, distribution and utilization at the time of safe operation. The vital part that ensures the safe operation is the control system for cooling fan. Throughout the national energy consumption, power consumption of wind power accounts for the most of the national total. Therefore, it is a good point to save energy and power and reduce consumption by reducing the energy consumption of cooling fan.The electronic commutation DC motor with high power is used to drive transformer fan in the subject so that the goal of energy conservation can be attained by adjusting speed and air flow. The electronic commutation DC motor is a kind of new type motor with the development of power electronics and permanent-magnet material. It is widely used as a high-performance driving machine because of its advantages such as simple structure, reliable operation and convenient maintenance which the AC motors have and the inherent advantages as a DC motor of high efficiency, and excellent speed control ability.The paper, on the basis of in-depth research in the basic structure of electronic commutation DC motor, working principle, digital model and control performance, confirms a proposal of control system of electronic commutation DC motor with DSP and IPM as central processor and main switch of commutation respectively. The paper focuses on the overall hardware composition of control system, including TMS320F2812 controller, rectifier filer circuit, IPM module, DSP peripheral circuit and necessary test and design of circuit protection. Based on the idea of modular structure, the paper also draws up the flow chart of main program and interruption service program. The simulation model of the control system is built through independently functional module and subsequently integration in the environment of Matlab/Simulink. The effective and feasible strategy of double loop control is validated by simulation so as to meet the requirement of design.Meanwhile, the simulation of actual operation of cooling fan provides a theoretical basis and new approach for use of motor control system.
