Experienced hundreds years of development, now, with the communication, electronics, big data, artificial intelligence technology, the rapid development of human travel diversity changes, the pressure of energy crisis and environment clean, demands of safe driving and traffic system, auto industry is going to entering into the age of autonomous driving, in which, different enterprises and institutions from all walks have joined the research and development of intelligent driving, gradually exploring a more adaptive products and technologies to meet the needs of the times.At this background, this paper is attempting to do the research and analysis about the autonomous driving based on patent map. Patent maps can be used for system analysis of patent information, helping researchers to extract information, visual interpretation which is hidden behind the patent technology, legal and market characteristics. With the autonamos driving technology as the analysis object, patent map as analysis tools, this paper researched the global and China autonomous driving technology trends, analyzed patent application pattern, and within the key technology and key patent applicant were analyzed on this basis to reveal global and China general technology development trend and competitive pattern of autonomous driving. The result of this research could help the participant of autonomous driving industry to track the technology trend, key technologies and future competition pattern, and provide the sample and basis for the research of technical development route.
