Along with the changing of the mode of unban economic and the expansion of the urban scale, more and more old industrial buildings located in the central area of the city will not accommodate the same programs as they did before. However, dismantling them would bring about negative effects towards to the surrounding environment and at the same time, it is a huge waste of natural resources and materials. Facing this dilemma, a usual strategy is to renovate them to accommodate other programs, of which offices meet the requirement of the market.Meanwhile, the severe energy crisis around the world has already set up an alarm for human. Under the circumstances of high criterion for architectural sustainability, the integration of energy-saving technologies is becoming a new trend. For the reason that the exist building is fixed, this thesis mainly focuses on how to transform an old industrial building to an office building with the help of passive energy-saving technologies. It analyses the effects of several renovation strategies from aspects of indoor ventilation environment, lighting environment and thermal environment. Also, it finds out the advantages and disadvantages of these strategies by using green software like Airpak and Ecotect and by these means to generate an optimized scheme for renovation.The whole thesis contains about 9207 words,84 pictures and charts.
