Prestressed concrete box girder with corrugated steel webs is a new steel-concrete composite structure, instead of ordinary concrete with corrugated steel webs webs. From this century, the country was started in research. It combines light weight, simple structure, force clear, beautiful shape and so on. In recent years, as the seismic performance of the bridge get more attention, we need to study the dynamic characteristics and seismic response to this new form of bridge.In this paper, relying on the Shenzhen Nanshan Bridge and related specification, finite element model is established based on beam element with Midas Civil, considering the self weight, the second dead load and prestress. Combined with "three-level defences and two-stage design" concept in seismic code, the seismic response is analyzed based on the response spectrum method and time history analysis methods with Midas Civil softwareFirstly, elastic seismic response of bridge is calculated under E1 earthquake. Considering both the horizontal seismic component, the spectral response curve of actual site is determined, Based on the dynamic characteristics calculation, response spectrum is following. And with two real seismic waves and a synthetic seismic wave, time-history analysis is done. The two methods were close and meet requirements in Seismic codes and standards.Then, the plastic seismic response analysis is to proceed under E2 earthquake use of time-history method. Bilinear model and Mander model is chosen for constitutive model of steel and the concrete, and pier-sectional moment-curvature curve is get for judgment of pier status. Define fiber plastic hinge of pier in order to obtain the seismic hysteresis curve of pier. Comparative analysis is to proceed by different peak acceleration and pier reinforcement ratio, and the results illustrate that the pier design is safer. There is room for further optimization.Finally, the effects to bridge seismic response by considering pile foundation or not, is contrastively analysed. The result shows that simulation of pile foundation is important for seismic analysis. Besides, comparative analysis is performed for difference between the bridge with corrugated steel webs and ordinary bridge. It is proved that the bridge is with more excellent in seismic performance with its lighter self weight.
