The size of the loss of resonator influences the performance and accuracy of laser gyro directly. In order to improve the measurement precision of resonant optical loss、stability of measurement system and repeatability, on the basis of the existing resonator loss measuring being fully analyzesed, the previous system is modificated wholelly, a optimization scheme practically validated and analysed is proposed for more accurately measuring the resonant optical loss.A computer is employed to control D/A output card to generate signal to drive the piezoelectric ceramics and control acousto-optic switch, the collected signals are input to the computer system by prime amplifier, the LabVIEW software is used to analyse and dispose the data. The system optical path、hardware、software are vastly modified and optimized on the previous basis, including the light path design module、sawtooth production module、 acousto-optic switch control module, main program control module, data-fitting and calculation module, etc. The function and role of each module is analysed in detail, the problems of causing low measurement accuracy、pattern drifting、bad repeatability of measurement are analysed comprehensively and the modification scheme is proposed. Through software and hardware debugging, the accuracy of measurement system is greatly improved, the system works stably and employs a good repeatability.One cavity loss is measured by using this system, the measurement results were 933+10 ppm,1002±10 ppm and 589±5ppm...
