The Design Of The Substation Data Communication And Monitoring System In Jiangxi Broadcast And Television Station

Broadcast TV’s "broadcast safe" related to national security and social stability. It has been a task which all radio and television industry highly valued. Among them, the power protection accounts for a relatively large component in the broadcast television "broadcast safe" evaluation system. Simultaneously, the safe, reliable, advanced of of the distribution system play a vital role in ensuring the " broadcast safe ". The substation of Jiangxi Radio and Television Center is mainly responsible for guaranteeing the electricity substation’s work safety of Jiangxi Radio and TV broadcast system. It also is the main source of providing the technology supply system for each unit in Jiangxi Radio and TV broadcast system.In order to meet the power needs of the future development of radio and TV broadcasting industry in Jiangxi, to expand the output capacity of our substations, to upgrade its overall level of automation, we renovate the substation at the original site under the guideline of "high-quality, uninterrupted, economical, and safe". Substation’s renovation project involves a lot of contents and the design of substation’s data communication and monitoring system is a significant one.The design in this paper is based on the criteria and characteristics of small substation’s data communication and monitoring system. It is based onRS-485 field bus mode and put the standard Modbus as the mainly communication protocol. It assembles and designs the IEDs used for communication and monitoring in each site. It put the communication manager into the use of the connection in related communication network, then through the industrial Ethernet switches to achieve the data communications and monitoring between the computer servers (monitoring host) in station control room.In designing the project, I select the Guodian Nanjingzidonghua company’s EYEwin2.08 plant station monitoring software. In using a hierarchical design, component-based, standardized and open software development ideas, it’s to provide a substation’s monitoring platform which is reliable, safe and operational, to realize the data communication and monitoring in the substation such as high-voltage cabinet computer protection device, high-pressure side smart meter, smart thermostats transformers, DC power screen, the low-pressure side digital power parameter measuring instrument, diesel generator sets and other equipment.The achievement of substation’s data communication and monitoring system plays a material role in power quality monitoring of radio and TV center in Jiangxi and electricity and other energy saving management. It also significantly enhance the comprehensive automation management level, in the meanwhile, it could strengthen the reliability and advanced of security of radio and TV broadcast’s supply and distribution system. It could meet the nowadays and consecutive needs of the radio and TV broadcasting industry in Jiangxi.
