Resistors, inductors and capacitors are important and indispensable components in modern electronic circuit. Through the potentiometer, digital potentiometer can easily adjust the resistance value. The variable technology inductor or capacitance value is not yet very mature. Most of them use line switch or mechanical adjustment to adjust their value. Inductor or capacitance adjusting range is narrow, and the precision and stability is low. The adjusted inductor or capacitance value also need inductor or capacitance measurement table meter to be sure. And they are susceptible to environmental factors such as temperature, humidity. They will engender mechanical wear in use process, thus reducing their service life. Especially when the inductor or capacitance value increases, its volume increases. And there is still no programmable digital inductor or capacitor. So this brings some difficulties to scientific and technical personnel in the electronic circuit experiments debugging and the design of new circuit.In this project, the new digital capacitor is builde based on the impedance converting circuit. The new active impedance converting circuit is formed by integration operational amplifiers, a small amount of resistance and capacitance. And then, the ideal expressions of pure equivalent inductor or capacitance are deduced from the circuit. Through control of the switching circuit part line, thus producing the equivalent pure inductor or capacitance, and the range of the inductive or capacitive units can be adjusted. It uses analog switch to control resistive network which is in circuit to adjust the inductor or capacitance units. It uses digital potentiometer to adjust a resistance which is in circuit to adjust the ^nductor or capacitance value.In this paper, some test circuits are designed. Through the simulations, experiments improve the scope of equivalent circuit’s frequency characteristics and measured data. Through analysis of the data can obtain the error of the circuit. And the deviation of the theoretical value and actual value can be used the software compensation, capacitor compensation method to reduce. The programmable equivalent inductor and capacitors will take great convenience to scientific and technical personnel in design and the process of electronic circuit experiments debugging. At the same time it will play a role in the development of the electronic technology. It also can be based on the need to design a standard interface for applications in the automatic test system.
