Taking the space component shell and its heat shroud as the research background, this paper carries out research on the nested assembly control system for large parts of the aircraft. Because of the high requirements of the system to the positioning accuracy and the assembly effect, the assembly work is of great difficulty when comparing to the small work piece, at present there are few researches on the automatic nesting of large parts in China. Based on the analysis of the research status and requirements for aircraft assembly industry, a positioning and assembly system is designed in this paper, the main work is as follows:Through analyzing the characteristics and assembly requirements of the workpiece, the overall scheme of the positioning assembly equipment is established and the hardware and software design of the system is introduced in detail, and then formulates the process flow according to the scheme of the system.In the research of detection algorithm, according to the actual working conditions, the algorithm which is used in system detection is analyzed in detail. The point cloud registration algorithm, surface reconstruction algorithm and the coordinate conversion of the equipment are completed in this paper, providing the theoretical basis for the actual assembly work.Carrying out software design and development, based on VS2008, PolyWorks, ACR-View and other software, the upper computer and processing software are developed in this paper, the software includes the main control software, the detection software and the posture aligning control software, completing data processing、point cloud registration、surface reconstruction、parameter setting、state display、assembly control and so on, each function module complete system function and communicate with each other.At last, the installation and debugging of the positioning and assembly equipment is completed, realizing the detection and processing algorithm proposed in this paper, and carry out the equipment assembly accuracy testing. The experimental results show that the algorithm can achieve the system data processing requirements, and the positioning process is fast with higher accuracy.
