The fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicle (uav) has been widely used in military, civilian and commercial areas because of it’s high cruising speed, strong load capacity,and the long time of flight features.It has its own unique advantages compared to the helicopter and the rotorcraft.It complete the take-off, rapid straight flight, hovering, rolling and turning, landing and other series of maneuvers through the rotation of the propeller, differential pressure produced by aircraft wings and adjusting the rudder surface.But the fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicle (uav) is a nonlinear strong coupling system as the existence of its special dynamic characteristics.So it is difficult to realize the stable control. This article mainly reseach on the trajectory tracking of the fixed wing unmanned aerial vehicle with the sliding mode control method. It using the sliding mode variable structure design enhance the robustness of the flight control and estimate the accuracy of the tracking. This article describes the following contents on the basis of the our laboratory experiment platform:1. The history of unmanned aerial vehicle (uav) development in our contry and abroad and the research background,the significance and the current situation of the development of unmanned aerial vehicle (uav) technology has been introduced. The control method used by the unmanned aerial vehicle (uav) technology has been analyzed.2. The testing system has been introduced, the fixed wing unmanned aerial vehicle control system hardware platform has been designed in view of the flight control system of the principle of feature selection, the function of each component. The hardware system mainly includes the microprocessor control chip, the sensor data acquisition module, wireless communication module, power module, motor control module.And it introduces the selection of the chips and the schematic diagram,the software and hardware testing platform of the uav system,the preparation of flight, flight experiment and shows the results of flight.3.The interpretation of the flight principle of fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicle and the establishment of the fixed wing uav mathematical model.This article also introduces the control method reseach.In the paper the sliding mode control technique is applied to fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicle (uav) control,It designes a sliding mode controller.In the end,this paper introduces the MATLAB modeling and simulation experiment, the analysis of simulation results, and the feasibility of the control algorithm.
