Chain thrust device is a kind of equipment which is used in chain production terminal, chain-oriented user or distributor. The equipment can thrust different numbers of chain links in order to meet the needs of different working occasions and machine parts.Existing chain thrust equipment can only thrust a single type of chain. When thrusting another type of chain, corresponding thrust equipment must be designed.This brings high costs and covers larger area. In order to solve above problems, multi-model roller chain thrust equipment has been designed in this paper.By replacing the thrust device, the equipment can thrust different types of chains.According to the working principle of the chain thrust equipment, we have designed the multi-model roller chain thrust equipment whose structure mainly includes four parts, chain output device and chain transmission device, thrust device and control system.Chain thrust equipments generally use the sprocket as a follower part which can not drive a variety of types of chain. In this article, we use sprocket in chain drive system and guide wheels as follower parts to achieve a variety of types of the chain drive.The tension equation when outputting chain is derived, it is concluded that the tension is relevant to link width, chain speed, entangled states of the chain in the output device on the cylinder and other factors. The tension can change in an instant when outputting the chain. To reduce the instability and the impact on the sprocket during the chain transmission caused by force changes of the outputting chain, chain tensioning device has been added. Tension of outputting chain, tension of the chain tensioning device and force from sprocket maintain the force balance together when the chain works. The design scheme of the chain transmission device, the layout of the guide wheel, the way the tensioning device and guide wheel cooperated with each other have been presented according to the above analysis, thus can provide a theoretical basis for the overall design of the transmission device.Meshing impact and vibration frequency of the chain in the process of the chain transmission have been calculated according to the theory analysis. The first five order natural frequency and the corresponding formation of the chain can get from the modal analysis. Through the rigid coupling analysis of the chain drive system, stress and strain of the sprocket in the actual work can visually be seen. And we can check the impact strength of the sprocket.According to the characteristic of open-loop chain transmission and the meshing theory of chain and sprocket, we conclude that chain and sprocket can tooth well under initial tension. We also studied the tooth situation of chain and sprocket, fluctuation of chain with dynamics simulation analysis.Through finite element simulation analysis of the key parts of the multi-model roller chain thrust equipment, we can get the stress and strain of them during the actual work conditions. Also their strength and stiffness can be checked.Rational design of the control system can adapt to the automatic thrust needs of the multi-model roller chain thrust equipment. In this paper, we choose servo motor as driving device which can adjust its output according to the change of the external load and can guarantee the accuracy and efficiency of the chain thrust. According to the selection principle and relevant calculation, we reasonably select reducer, electric cylinder, air cylinder drive that can adapt to the system.
