With the construction and development of Smart Grid, informatization, automation, interaction of the power grid improve constantly. Power systems, electric power communication systems, monitoring systems and other entities become larger and more complex than before. Modern power system faces new challenges in the aspect of information security, which makes information security issues become increasingly prominent. This paper has firstly expounded the current situation and tendency of smart grid information security, and analyzed the characteristics of identity authentication, intrusion detection, access control and other key information security techniques of smart grid. Combined with information security risk analysis and basic requirements of classified security protection in power grid, and from the point of fingerprinting, digital watermarking and security management, this paper put forward some appropriate information security recommendations to enhance the level of information security of the smart grid.At present, power information systems mainly uses authentication methods of username and password. Since this approach is easily forgotten and cracked, information systems face security risks. This approach can not satisfy information security needs. In addition, the power system information security protection also requires that major network equipment and application systems should adopt a combination of two or more kinds of authentication technologies to achieve the identification of users1’1. Fingerprint recognition adopts the unique fingerprint feature to verify user’s identity. The way of using combination of username, password and fingerprint can improve the safety level of authentication in Smart Grid information system.This paper constructed a login system with combination of double features, fingerprint and password, and came up with the overall structure and operating procedures of this system. Besides this paper studied and analyzed the implementation methods of fingerprint image acquisition, preprocessing, feature extraction, feature matching and other image processing procedures. It completed the design of database by Access database connection technology. This system took Visual C++6.0 software as a development platform to finish the construction of database and login interface with double features, mainly including login and register two functional modules. This system used the TFS-M71 fingerprint module to acquire fingerprint images, and then they were analyzed for extracting image feature information which would be stored in the database. The first step was to enter username and password in the login interface to verify whether it exists or be right. The module TFS-M71 gained fingerprint image and uploaded it to the PC interface for displaying, preprocessing, feature extraction. The acquired feature was matched to the extracted template which was already stored in the database. If the result is true, the user could enter the system. The simulation results confirmed the feasibility of the double features authentication system.
