As many uncertain factors in tunnel engineering, tunnel structural design of tunnel based reliability theory is an effective way for this problem. Traditional tunnel reliability approaches regard parameters of surrounding rock as random variables, which neglect the variability, thus resulting in differences between the calculating results and actual results. Therefore, based on convergence-confinement model, an analysis on structure internal force probabilistic characteristics of primary support in high-speed tunnel is carried out firstly. Then based on the relatively popular load-structure model, the reliability index and partial factor of secondary lining structure is researched, considering the variability of surrounding rock. Main works and research results are as follows.(1) In a probability analysis method, a calculation procedure of structure internal force is established based on convergence-confinement method and Monte Carlo method. On the basis of the procedure, the influence rules of the structure internal force caused by the uncertainty of the related physical and mechanical parameters are systematically researched. For the performance function using the rock deformation as its discriminant criterion, the tunnel deformation magnitudes for different ground classes are proposed. Moreover, a reliability analysis example via a project case proves the rationality and availability of the magnitudes, which provides the significance of reference and guidance to the stability and reliability analysis of actual engineering.(2) Based on the load-structure model, considering the variability of surrounding rock, a Monte Carlo stochastic finite element calculation program is written. The differences of simulating procedure and output results between the model above and random variables model are revealed. The influence of correlation distance of surrounding rock on reliability index is researched.(3) The reliability index and partial factors of secondary lining structure in high-speed tunnel is checked. The distribution rules of reliability index under different speeds, different levels and types of surrounding rock are studied. The reliability indexes of reinforced concrete lining structure are generally larger than plain concrete. Compared with the design code, calculation results demonstrate that the proposed model is rational. The research on partial factors is conducted according to the different failure types, through which the reference value of resistance and effect comprehensive partial factors of lining structure in high-speed tunnel are proposed.
