| In recent years, BIM has been widely used and played a more and more important role in building construction industry and it has made a series of achievements. As a new technology, it is being introduced in bridge engineering. Now in many large and special bridge projects, the bridge structures have been more and more unique and complex and it is easy to cause some problems during the design and the construction stage. BIM is changing the traditional design method, which can make 3D model with the complete project information and do some analysis and optimization in order to make sure that the design and the construction method is feasible. And the production efficiency will also be improved.In this thesis, the object studied is an arch bridge with asymmetrical splayed arch ribs and 150m span length. By making 3D model with the complete project information, it is discussed how to use BIM during the bridge construction process such as visual model,4D construction simulation, progress management and so on. And it is also discussed how to solve the construction problems by using BIM. And then the convenience and advantages of using BIM in bridge construction are evaluated comparing to the traditional construction method. The following several aspects are researched in this thesis:(1) The basic meaning of BIM and the characteristics of relevant software are introduced in this thesis at first and the current development of BIM in every sector from abroad to our country is summarized then.(2) The application characteristics of BIM in each stage of bridge engineering is summarized in this thesis, and then an application flow of BIM in bridge engineering is concluded. Meanwhile, the application frame based on structure model of bridge and construction model of bridge are put forward as well.(3) Take a long span arch bridge with asymmetrical splayed arch ribs for example, it is discussed how to use the BIM tool Revit to make a 3D structure model containing the complete project information such as structure material, the size and quantity of each component and the position of the project in this thesis. And it is also discussed how to make a construction model of BIM by adding construction information.(4) The BIM tool Navisworks is used in this thesis to research clash detection, construction simulation and 4D progress management, based on the BIM model of this arch bridge. The application of BIM in this bridge can offer some reference to other projects. |
