Research On Space Features And Protection And Development Of Shixia Village In Shixing County, Northern Guangdong

China is a vast land with many different ethnics, lots of different kinds of geographical environments. During the course of more than five thousand years of agricultural history, there are many different kinds of villages which have a long history. They carry the progress of culture and the memory of history. However, As the acceleration of urbanization and industrialization, The status of the village have been ignored. The space have decreased. The villages have lost so many residents and present a scene of the decline. Meanwhile, The cultural connotation and rural scenery are highly appreciated. The landscape tourist become very popular. So, the protection of the traditional village and the problem of sustainable development are both extremely urgent.Shixia village which is the research object of this text is in Shixing county Shaoguan city Northern Guangdong. Shixing is one of a poor county in Guangdong. The impact of urbanization is weak. Instead, the historic features and the natural environment are reserved well. The residence of Shixia village is famous for prominent history unique form and enormous scale in Shixing county. And it is also one of a typical Hakka house in Northern Guangdong. Under the background of developing tourism, Shixia village is going to be the object of tourism. This article is based on the social and academic background as well as the research object of typicality and put forward for research of space features and protection and development strategy.The paper is divided into five chapters. The first chapter is the introduction, including research background, research object, research purpose and meaning, reviews and analyzes the related theory research at home and abroad and the research of Hakka traditional resident in Northern Guangdong, research methods and framework of the paper. The second chapter is geographical environment and historical background of Shixia village, including the characteristics of geographical environment, the migration of Hakka residents in Shixing, history of Shixia village in the beginning. The third chapter is analysis of the traditional pattern and the overall in Shixia village, including the evolution process of the traditional pattern and is divided into five stages, analysis of the natural elements, location and pattern of fengshui, the overall layout, characteristics of street space and node space. The fourth chapter is analysis of the architectural features in Shixia village, including building types, architectural layout, Feature of denfense, explore the origin of architecture, Structure and materials, decoration. The Fifth chapter is research on protection and development strategy of Shixia village, including the main problems of the protection and development in Shixia village, the basic principles and work priorities of protection and development, the protection and development model can be used for reference to, protection and development strategy of Shixia village.
