With the rapid development of Chinese economy, more and more constructions have been built in the mountain area, so that the engineering problem of landslide is coming into the picture. Especially in the Wenchuan earthquake, heavy casualties and property losses were caused by landslide. As one of the most frequently-used retaining ways, the slope stability can be enhanced effectively by anti-slide pile. However, at present there are not many researches about the design of anti-slide pile. And due to this, there also exists discrepancy between the design philosophy and the practical engineering. In view of this, combining with the finite element analysis software named ANSYS, the working mechanism of anti-slide pile under static and dynamic loading is analyzed in this article. How the each design consideration affects the displacement of pile tip, the stress of pile bottom, and bearing capacity of anti-slide pile is also analyzed. And it’s significant to the design theory & methods. The main achievements and conclusions are as follows.(1) For searching the influence factors to the stability of anti-slide pile, the methods of theoretical analysis and empirical formulas of the anti-slide pile under static loading are summarized in this paper.(2) Numerical simulation analysis is made to anti-slide pile by ANSYS. In the numerical model, the concrete and rebar are simulated by SOLID65 element and LINK8 respectively, and separating reinforcement method is available to set up the reinforced concrete model.(3) From the analysis results of the deformation of anti-slide pile under different ways the load, the displacement of pile tip is the maximum under concentrated load, and there is not big difference between under trapezoidal load and uniform load. In the design of anti-slide pile, the way of load should be selected in accordance with the practical situation. Otherwise, it could cause the difficulty of construction, the increased cost, and even the failure of anti-slide pile.(4) That how the displacement of pile tip, stress of pile bottom and bearing capacity are affected by the variation of section, inertia moment and elasticity modulus is analyzed in this paper. And by analyzing the relation curves of the displacement of pile tip VS each design consideration, the concrete grade, the pile section and slenderness ratios affect the displacement variation of pile tip much more than the reinforcement ratio and grade.(5) Each design parameter of anti-slide pile has a theoretical boundary value, which has less influence to the deformation of pile when the design parameter is enhanced lager than the boundary value, especially grade and ratio of the reinforcement and the concrete strength.(6) Under the sinusoidal cyclic loading, the ways of load have larger influence to the displacement of pile tip, especially to the dynamic loading with low frequency. For preventing the failure of anti-slide pile caused by dynamic loading, the influence to the anti-slide pile of dynamic loading should be taken a full consideration.
