Research on wheel / rail relationship of high speed railway is a research hotspot in railway field, and wheel / rail relationship for turnouts is a key issue. Structure optimization and regularity improvement is the direction of development of high-speed turnout technology. In this paper, the wheel / rail relationship of frog is analysed by simulation calculation, and optimization for frog structure of high-speed railroad is proposed. The major work is described as follows:1. Literature collection. Literature data includes: Development of high speed railway; history of high-speed turnout at home and abroad, and structural characteristics and key technologies of the main type high speed turnout used at present; the course of wheel / rail dynamic analysis method, studies on wheel / rail relationship for general line and turnout in recent years.2. Building an EMU – turnout model by NUCARS. Vehicle model is CRH2 EMU; The frog model is based on the KZX No.42 turnout structure, it is used to explore the structure optimization of frog.3. Optimization of the structure of point rail. It explored how to influence the structure regularity of frog by different point hiding structures, height of point rails, and longitudinal sections of point rails. An optimization design is proposed that the height of point rail is reduced by 3.0mm, 0.4mm, 0.0mm in the sections with a top width of 15 mm, 35 mm, or 40 mm, based on the original structure of the frog.4. Optimization of the structure of wing rail. It explored how to influence the structure regularity of frog by different sections and raising values of wing rail elevation. An optimization design is proposed that wing rail is rased by 1.6mm in the section with a top width of 45 mm of point rail, based on the original structure of the frog.
