With the development of modern computer technology, traffic simulation technology has become one of the most important method of transportation research by virtue of its economy and efficiency characteristics. The traditional traffic simulation gives priority to macroscopic and microscopic view of off-line simulation, however, owing to its hysteresis quality the off-line simulation is unable to give guidance and support to real-time traffic control.Therefore, this thesis will combine the high precision of the microscopic traffic simulation with the instantaneity and facticity of online traffic simulation, which makes traditional offline transform into online microscopic traffic simulation.Specific to the critical problems, such as real-time traffic flow conversion, the contradictions between the simulation instantaneity and facticity, and the simulation performance optimization, that will face with when microscopic traffic model used for online simulation, this thesis will detail its solution. And the innovative content are as follows:(1) Put forward an on-line microscopic traffic simulation system architecture, which follows the principle of system architecture design and make the system high-advanced, high-scalability, high-stability and high-practicability.(2) Put forward a real-time traffic generation model in an online simulation. On the base that the theory of equilibrium traffic flow distribution models on real-time traffic of observation-blind area. We deduce the real-time traffic generation on both traffic data observation area and traffic data observation blind spots, eventually solve the problem of on-line microscopic traffic simulation actual input.(3) Put forward a car query algorithm balanced binary trees based on Color Index. To improving the performance of simulation system, optimize the frequent neighboring car query algorithm in the process of vehicle simulation, which resolves the conflictions between high-precision and real-time performance in online microscopic simulation.(4) Based on the system architecture design,we research and develop a microscopic traffic simulation system.Thesystem, including road network build tools, real-time traffic information system, simulation control interaction system and microscopic traffic simulation nodes,can beused to the analysis of microscopic simulation model and traffic control strategy.Eventually through experiment it proves that the online microscopic traffic simulation system this thesis raises can meet the demand of traffic at all levels and restore the real traffic, which synchronizes the traffic simulation process with the real traffic control management. This system is easy-used and efficient, with its flexible expansibility the system can guide the urban transportation planning and management and provide support to alleviate urban traffic congestion to some extent.
