With the rapid development of economy, the car has entered thousands of households. Cars bring convenience to people, at the same time it also led to the continuous occurrence of traffic accidents. It is found that driver fatigue driving is one of the important causes of traffic accidents, and the number of deaths caused by traffic accidents in the first place, fatigue driving has become a serious social problem. Therefore, the research and development of an anti-fatigue driving system is of great significance.After the study of domestic and foreign relevant research, first of all, compared with three kinds of commonly used methods for the detection of driver fatigue, select the detection method used in this paper based on information fusion with visual image and the vehicle state. Data show that the driver’s body will appear some changes when he is in driving fatigue state, facial features is particularly evident, mainly reflected in the closing time prolonged and frequent yawning. Therefore, it can monitor the driver’s physical and mental state in real time according to these characteristics. In this paper, we propose a face detection method based on AdaBoost algorithm and the precise location of the eyes and mouth using the integral projection method. Then, according to the principle of PERCLOS-P80 to judge driver’s eyes closing time, according to open your mouth size to judge the driver whether frequent yawning and auxiliary vehicle monitoring steeling wheel movement, designed the anti-fatigue driving system for driver.The anti-fatigue driving system for driver consists of five separated modules, which can according to the driver’s eyes, mouth and vehicle steering wheel three different characteristics to determine whether the driver is in fatigue driving state, timely early warning information, which can effectively avoid the accidents caused by fatigue driving.
