With the development of large capacity battery energy storage technology, energy storage plays an important role in constructing smart grid and developing micro netwo rk.Storage of energy between the bi-directional converter, as the power grid transmission channel between energy storage systems and energy storage devices, is the key part which refers to the research on energy storage system. It also has a big influence on the performance and cost of energy storage systems. Therefore, the study in energy storage of bi-directional converter is of great significance.Firstly, this paper puts forward the development and the classification of the bidirectional energy storage converter, analyzes the structure and working principle of the bi-directional DC/DC converter and AC/DC converter topology. And establish the mathematical model of three-phase PWM rectifier circuit which based on the rotating coordinate transformation, this paper finishes the bidirectional flow of energy between network side and energy storage battery through selecting different control strategy to operate the system. According to the current inner loop and voltage outer loop control, the system of energy storage can run steadily.Secondly, the study verifies the energy bi-directional flow of bidirectional energy storage converter through the Matlab/Simulik software to build simulation model of energy storage.Finally, the design of energy storage is according to the design scheme which is set up a 30w bidirectional energy storage converter experiment platform whose main control chip is TMS320F28335. It introduces the achievement process of software and hardware, and completes the bidirectional flow of electrical energy between the network side and energy storage battery side.
