The application of power electronic equipment and the use of nonlinear load increase in the power system, the harmonic influence has more and more serious with the development of industry. Therefore, it is an urgent need for high quality power quality. Harmonic current detection has important research significance and practical significance. Therefore, this paper discusses and studies the shunt active power filter to solve the power quality problems and increase the stability and security of the system.From the beginning of this paper, it is brief introduction of the development of the active power filter and harmonic current control strategy. The paper given that the mathematical model of shunt active power filter is established and discussed that how to control the harmonic current method. The paper given that two angles of harmonic current method of reference voltage and reference current, analyzing the difference between the reference voltage and reference current.
