| The western cultural output affects greatly the urban construction in our country due to the influence of globalization. The problem of "Same Imagine of Cities" becomes more obvious, local cultural characteristics becomes poorer and poorer. As the biggest public stage, the road is the area for public life of city residents. The road landscape greenbelt holds an important position in showing urban characteristics and local conditions and customs. The site characteristics plays an important role in the design of road landscape. Less attention is paid for protection, regeneration and creation of regional context. Maintaining the city energetic and guaranteeing the self-development of the city must absorb the experiences from other advanced countries, and the local special cultures also must be developed. Organic integration of the two cultural is the only way for healthy development. The way forward for future Chinese culture needs continuous creation by reheriting the context, absorbing the traditional spiritual cultural accumulation. The traditional experiences of "Put Mountain and Water in Proper Location" in "Yuanye" should be paid for more attention. Therefore, the understanding and respecting the relationship of the city road greenbelt space and its environment, city and region, respecting the original terrain conditions, space conditions and location relation are very important for designing a road landscape with historical context.Through theoretical summarization, case analysis and design exploration and practice, this paper, with Zhongshan West Road, Mancheng district, Baoding city as an example, makes a detailed analysis for its geographical location, terrain, natural environment, mountain chain and water vein and human custom site; designs the landscape for the standard section of the road greenbelt, leisure square and node, discusses the issue of how to extend the city context in the road landscape design, and states, from the point road landscape design, how to respect site characteristics and digest, transpose and the original local culture and reflect in the design, which provides references and inspiration for similar situations in the future landscape design project. |
