Jointed rock mass contained numbers of discontinuous geologic structures including joints, cracks and faults. Engineering accidents happened when cracks propagating and connecting with each other during excavation. Cracks propagation made a great influence on the stability of surrounding rock considering large numbers of engineering examples. Bolt reinforcement scheme was the most effective solution in geotechnical engineering. And the mechanism of Bolt reinforcement scheme had not been explained completely. So it was very important for engineering projects to research rock bolt reinforcement. Due to the world energy crisis, shale gas became more and more important. Shale gas exploiting technology was not familiar in China. Cracks propagation under water-rock interaction made a great influence on shale gas technology.Research works in this paper involved the following aspects:Firstly, a sort of mortar material was compounded for the research on jointed rock mass with two-dimensional preset-crack under axle loading. Further researches on anchoring preset-cracks specimens have been studied during the experiment.Secondly, a numerical simulation method called DDARF put into effect. Comparing single preset-crack specimens with multiple preset-cracks specimens, some conclusions have been concluded in DDARF. For the researches on anchoring preset-cracks specimens, bolt block was introduced to DDARF numerical simulation method.A sort of transparent similar material was compounded for the research on jointed rock mass with three-dimensional preset-cracks under axle loading. The process of the experiment had been improved for the observation of crack propagation.Lastly, for the researches on cracks propagation under water-rock interaction, the experiment had been improved. The phenomenon of crack propagation was tested under water pressure and axle load. The comparison analysis of two-dimensional preset-cracks propagation and three-dimensional preset-cracks propagation, single preset-crack propagation with multiple preset-cracks propagation, single preset-crack anchoring specimens with multiple preset-cracks anchoring specimens was investigated by experimental and numerical method. The researches on crack propagation process made a great influence on theoretical studies in geotechnical engineering. |
