The continuous transformation of modern warfare has been constantly promoting the importance of military logistics network, among which the capability and the efficiency have been vital factors in deciding the outcome of warfare. Therefore, the research on the topological characteristics and the cascading invulnerability of military logistics network is of importance in both theoretical and practical senses.. This paper, under the instruction of comprehensive networks, studied the topological characteristics and the cascading invulnerability of military logistics network, applying methods including graph theory, statistical physics, and computer simulation. The main works are as follows:(1) The construction of military logistics network modelMilitary logistics network is based on battle units, bases, and warehouses, and is a network of nodes including road crossings, bridges, and stations, and routes including roads, railways, and waterways. Military logistics network is thus a comprehensive network with the attribute of double-layer structure. On account of this characteristic, this paper used two methods, and successfully constructed a double-layer structure military logistics network model.(2) Analyzation of the eigenvalue of military logistics networkTaking a real military logistics network as an example, this paper analyzed the topological attributes of this network through statistical analysis. The results are as follows: 1) the node degree and strength distribution of this military logistics network are extremely heterogeneous, and relationship of node degree and accumulated node degree subject to power distribution, and the network is scale-free; 2) this military logistics network has short routes and large network clustering coefficient, thus is typical small world network.(3) The construction of military logistics association network cascading invulnerability modelThe nature of cascading failure is due to the node failure triggered by transformation of loading. In the topological structure of military logistics network, its cascading failure process was analyzed, its routing mechanism, loading distribution principle, and correlation ratio are decided. And finally a military logistics association network cascading invulnerability model was built according to these factors.(4) Analyzation of cascading failure characteristics of military logistics network through simulationThe simulation results are as follows:1) Under deliberate attacks, supporting network is more fragile than transportation network in terms of cascading vulnerability, thus making the protection of supporting network more important in reality; 2) The larger the correlation ratio, the closer the relationship between military logistics supporting network and the transportation network, which makes the transmission of fault in multi-network more extensive and frequent; 3) The adjustable network loading parameters exert influences on network cascading failures, and in daily transportation the increase of network node volume lags the increment of node loading in Interdependent networks, which makes it necessary to increase network node volume in an appropriate time.
