Steel-concrete composite floor system which makes full use of the two kinds of materials mechanical properties through combination effect has been widely usedin the field of engineering. The researchers pays much attention on the study of simple support and continuous composite beam.However, the research of primary and secondary beams which considering spatial effect and more close to the actual stress characteristics of the composite floor is rare.This paper studies the stress distribution and influence on mechanical properties of beam connection of the steel-concrete composite floor system. According to the design assumption, secondary beam and main beam are simple supported beams in the composite floor structure. The actual stress state of composite floor system does match the design assumption well for ignoring the interactions of secondary beam and main beam connection. Especially the negative bending moment of the secondary beam makes the concrete plate in adverse stress state which influence the performance of composite floor system.This paper study the transfer effect and performance of secondary beams connected to the composite floor system considering the influence of the stiffness of the main and secondary beams connection relying on an actual engineering project. Comparing the ultimate bearing capacity of the composite floor system and the composite beams, the influence of the secondary beam on the ultimate bearing capacity of the girder is studied quantitatively.A new design proposal for the composite floor system with primary and secondary beams is proposed by analyzing and comparing the existing design methods and the stress state of the finite elements models has certain guiding significance to the design of the composite floor in the practical engineering, and it can promote the development and application of the composite floor system to a certain extent.
