220kV transmission line engineering from aitang-longhe to zhewang transformer substation with single PI was located in Ganyu County, Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province. It is the large effect on the line design, because the region along the line is relatively flat with developed traffic, rivers and ponds. The corner tower of the power transmission line locates between the coastal highway and G204 State Rode. In this area, there is a civilian house with the height of approximately 10 meters, which leads to a decrease of the line corridor and requires further calculations for the high-voltage power transformation lines due to the safe distance from the buildings, and further designs for line layout, tower size etc. This paper draws specific the stress-curve due to the force calculation of line selection and ground lines. The T45 type tower is selected, gap and wire jumper are also calculated, and checking insulation coordination in span centrality. With the software named Ansoft, and according to the Finite Element Method, unilateral double circuit transmission line is then modeled and simulated, in which way the general distribution of alternating electromagnetic field under line is now investigated. According to the simulation result, the safest layout is unilateral double circuit transmission line with 220 kV. In order to reduce the distance between the center of the line and buildings, simulation for the distribution of the alternating electric field is then conducted on the neighboring buildings with 220 kV double circuit transmission line and220 kV unilateral double circuit transmission line setups. In order to ensure the safety and robustness for the distance between the power line and civilian buildings, further simulations for single-circuit power failure, single-phase interrupt and signals phase earth fault of the unilateral double circuit transmission line 220 kV power lines on the neighboring buildings. A safe, reasonable distance is then deducted.According to the simulation result, by the means of unilateral double circuit transmission line is able to reduce the distance from neighboring buildings, as well as safety requirements are met.
