The super-railway produces enormous economic benefits to the society. At the same time, it also bring some technical problems and put forward higher request of the safety to the locomotive design. The windshield wiper is one of the necessary equipment to increase the safety of driving which used to wipe the drops and dust attached of the windshield, and make the drivers’ vision more clearly. In order to ensure the safety after speed raising of the train, the design of the wiper must meet a variety of conditions to train speed.Through the analysis, it is found that electric wiper which used widely on train can not meet the requirements of high speed locomotive due to its insufficient strength and the high failure rate defect of the motor contact slice. These shortcomings will bring a certain hidden danger to the safety of the train speed raising. Then, on the basis of absorb advanced technology from China and overseas design a new type of pneumatic wiper adapted to the trains of 200km/h, index for enterprises’ design requirement, and has the advantages of large torque, no electromagnetic pollution and high reliability, etc. Specific work is as follows:(1) Designed a new kind of pneumatic wiper. Through analyzing the working pattern of the wiper. First, determined use pneumatic instead of electric. And then carries on the concrete design, finished the design drawings and related assembly technical requirements of the new pneumatic wiper.(2)Establish the machine parts model and simulation. Used CATIA to built the 3D model and virtual assembly, validate the theoretical model and the design drawings is feasible.(3)Make finite element analysis on the key components. CATIA, the finite element analysis software, is applied to the static analysis of the essential components, such as the sector gear. And the strength and reliability of key parts are verified.(4) Complete the manufactured of the experimental prototype and related tests.Manufactured a pneumatic wiper prototype machines and a basic performance test was carried out. The test results show that the basic properties of the prototype meet the requirements of enterprise design.
