With the development of automobile industry and the improvement of people’s living standard, noise,vibration and harshness (NVH) problems of vehicle receive more and more attention. Research shows that engine exhaust noise is an important noise source of vehicle, therefore, the controlling of engine exhaust noise is of great significance for improving the quality and reducing the noise of vehicle.At present, the engine exhaust noise control technology mainly includes passive noise control technology and active noise control technology. The active noise control technology with its good noise reduction effect to low-frequency noise is obtaining more and more attention. According to the characteristics of range-extender exhaust noise on extended range electric vehicle, some explore studies in control algorithm and systematic development of active noise control in ducts are made in this paper.Firstly, the existence condition of the plane wave was derived form a duct; derived and analyzed single-stage active noise control system of the forward control structure(FCS) in a duct, obtained the factors of affecting the control effect.Secondly, control algorithm of active noise control system in ducts was studied. Analysed adaptive LMS, RLMS and filtered-U algorithms, owning to the problem of acoustical feedback of the secondary source existing in FCS adaptive active noise control(AANC) system, a reverse control structure of the fuzzy control algorithm of fuzzy active noise control (FANC) system was put forward, and analyzed the fuzzy control algorithm of the system.Thirdly, using MATLAB software simulated adaptive LMS algorithm and the RLMS algorithm under the incentive of single frequency and multiple frequency, analyzed the affection of convergence factor, filter order and input signal frequency to algorithm; established AANC simulation system based on filtering-u algorithm and FANC simulation system based on fuzzy control algorithm, simulated and analyzed the two systems. Simulated and compared the adaptive RLMS algorithm with fuzzy control algorithm in terms of effectiveness, convergence and stabilityAt last, through the digital signal processor TMS320F28335, the hardware and software for the system of single-stage active noise control in a duct were designed, established single-stage active noise control system in a duct, experiments were did and achieved a good noise reduction effect.
