With the rapid development of China’s urban rail transit and the accelerated pace of construction, the energy consumption of the train and the corresponding expenses have been increasing dramatically. The investigation of train’s energy-saving operation has received more and more attention. To improve vehicle equipment and infrastructure technology need long time and high investment, which limit the train energy saving operation. But improving the method of train’s operation and building a reasonable train-operation schedule to improve energy efficiency is not required high investment. Therefore, to optimize the train operation method, improve the utilization of renewable energy, and then make reasonable train schedule is an economic, efficient and feasible way to save energy.The complex operation routes composited by ramps and curves are considered and the running lines of train are analyzed in this paper. First, the existing specific operating rules of urban rail transit train are researched and the train dynamics model is established under the condition of complex road condition. Then based on the Lagrange multiplier method, the minimum energy consumption model limited by operation constraint conditions such as time, velocity and acceleration is established. In this algorithm, each stage of parameters in train’s operation are discredited and coded. Then the discrete matrix model on the different control sequence of train operation is set up and the matrix of discrete used to find the best control strategy for energy saving of metro train is presented. This method is used to establish the modeling of traffic scheduling schedule.Secondly, based on the single-train energy-saving model, the complex operation routes composited by single ramp and curve are considered to explore the rules of single-train energy saving and coordinated multi-train use of regenerative-braking energy under the conditions of complex lines, different departure intervals and operating conditions by studying on the specific operation and braking characteristics of Metro Trains. Based on the theory of matrix and calculus, the model of single-train regenerative energy and multi-train coordinate regenerative energy is established. After that, the modeling approach for train regenerative energy is simulated and analyzed.At last, the matrix discrete method is proposed to set up train saving energy operation optimization and dispatching integrated real matrix control model under complicated working conditions to find the optimal energy-saving control strategy and train dispatching schedule based on single-train energy saving optimization operation and cooperative using of regenerative braking energy by multiple-train. In the whole process, the lowest energy consumption of the whole line is considered as the objective function and the parameters such as train’s control, departure intervals and operational conditions are discredited and coded. Combination calculation based on particle swarm optimization algorithm is used to improve the precision and ability of global optimization algorithm. The intelligent guiding system of urban rail transit train optimized handling based on matrix discrete method is designed. These works will provide theoretical and practical guidance for train safety and energy saving operation. The sample and comparison shows that the calculation method is effective and accurate.
