In recent years, Baoji area geological disasters occur frequently, especially landslide geological disasters in loess, which caused huge losses to the local economy, but also there is a potential threat to the residents. So it is very important to study the mechanism of the formation and prevention measures of loess landslide in Baoji area. Based on Baoji loess landslide and systematic analysis and research, we combined with environmental geological conditions, formation mechanism, stability calculation, FLAC3D numerical simulation, prevention and control measures of Huoshaotan village of Yingge town Taibai County the Baoji City loess landslide to do a detailed study shows. In this paper, on the basis of the existing data gathering, with the scene investigation, theoretical calculation and numerical simulation method, we analysis and research this loess landslide formation conditions, formation mechanism, damage degree, the specific contents are as follows:(1) Through the field investigation, using knowledge of geology analysis to study the geological environment condition, and the characteristic of loess of Baoji City Taibai town.(2) Through the analysis and study of the basic characteristics of Baoji area landslip we finally could find the relationship between landslide and natural and geographical conditions, lithology, landform, geological structure and earthquake, hydro geological condition, precipitation and human engineering activities in the area. And then we analysis and clarify the situation combined with the existing theory of Baoji City Taibai County Yingge town Huoshaotan village loess landslide.(3) When we study the formation mechanism of the landslide, focusing on the analysis of triggered landslide formation mechanism under the condition of rainfall. Then we could use the transfer coefficient method in the limit equilibrium method to do the stability calculation and analysis for the loess landslide.(4) Using FLAC3D software to do numerical simulation of the landslide respectively in three different conditions, three kinds of conditions are natural conditions, rainfall and earthquake conditions.Then we simulate respectively the situation of the landslide front slope displacement and stress distribution, and analysis the stability of the landslide.And then we formulate reasonable and effective prevention and control measures of the landslide with previous research and the results of field investigation.
