At present, the development of the pure electric vehicles are facing unprecedented opportunities, lithium power battery as one of its key parts and components, is becoming a restricting factor in the development of electric vehicles. The performance of the lithium power battery has a very important influence on the popularization and application of the pure electric vehicle, and its performance parameters produce dramatic changes with the change in temperature. In order to ensure the safety and other best performance of the lithium power battery, it is very important to develop the thermal management system.In this paper, the design of lithium power battery thermal management system is based on electrochemical three-dimensional thermal coupling model. This article takes Li Fe PO4 lithium ion power battery as the research object and chooses the 16-bit freescale’s MC9S12DG128 as the main control chip controller. The lithium power battery thermal management system mainly includes the structural design and optimization of the lithium power battery and design of the hardware and software system, the specific research contents are as follows:(1)The lithium power battery electrochemistry three-dimensional thermal coupling model is established on the basis of in-depth analysis and research of the mechanism of heat and temperature characteristics of the lithium-ion battery work.(2)The article establishes the geometric model of battery pack and carries on the simulation analysis on the heat production situation of battery pack, which shows the temperature field distribution of battery pack. And then the article put forward the optimization scheme to improve of the battery pack, and simulation analysis was carried out on the improved lithium ion battery pack.(3)The circuit board of thermal management system which is designed by Altium Designer mainly includes: Power supply voltage regulator module, single chip microcomputer minimum system, temperature acquisition module, electronic fan drive module, electric heating film drive module, serial communication module, CAN communication module.(4)The design of lithium battery thermal management system software mainly includes temperature information acquisition procedures and management procedures.
