The dump truck is an important tool of transportation engineering. Good welding process of the dump truck is not only have enough strength to bear heavy objects, and the assembly process does not appear due to the welding deformation and lead to complete the situation. In order to reduce the dump truck carriages’ break and scrapped, how to choose the best welding process is needed. The article analyzed this useful engineering dump truck, especially research the object, where welding deformation affects biggest in the car side compartments board. Welding process is a complex changes mixed multidisciplinary, In the actual production of deformation can produce many kinds of unpredictable. Due to carriage’s one side and the weld all have an large dimension size, so it is a large amount of calculation and analysis on the it. Welding of the whole car with existing computer level can’t meet the computing requirements.In this case the article selected two representative position on the dump truck right side. They are the channel steel and steel plate welding position(Named The channel steel weld) and across&vertical channel steel welding position(Named The intersection). In this two position for welding numerical simulation analysis, which by using ANSYS Thermal structural coupling analysis to analysis the welding thermal produced deformation.The article mainly research work doing as follows: First, drawing the intersection 3D modeling and the channel steel weld 3D modeling picture. Using ANSYS to simulate the temperature field according the weld, through constant adjustment and improvement, get the most similarity temperature field which in conformity with the actual welding process of the numerical simulation results. The structure analysis based on the analysis of the Thermal had already analyzed, get the deformation caused by welding heat and the distribution of stress and strain through impose constraints on the workpiece. Then obtain the biggest deformation place. Second, based on the results of welding deformation under the Thermal analysis, The channel steel weld place through select different constraint location obtain analysis results. Compare it with the original plan, get the most optimizing program of deformation. In order to improve The channel steel weld’s deformation, improved the welding sequence on craft, puts forward a weld plan "prefabricated concave deformation" which is basics on the structure. Last, on top of the simulation analysis, put all the optimization propose scheme for the practical application.by contrast, optimization schemethis of train compartments board got more effectively control the weld distortion. Not only the quality of the dump truck carriages’ production, but also obtained obvious ascension the dump truck appearance.
