With the rapid development of Distributed Generation and grid technology, more and more Distributed Generations operating incorporated with the distribution grid, which bring economic and social benefits as well as a lot of problems such as the distribution network planning and design, operation controlling and fault recovering. It is the key issue to find the way to consumptive a large number of Distributed Generations safely and economically by distribution grid renovation with a limited funds. With regards to this, the main purpose of this paper is that by studying the impact of on-grid Distributed Generations establishes a comprehensive and scientific evaluation system of the distribution grid and proposes a practical rehabilitation program to improve the adaptation of the distribution network. And strive to achieve the multi-objective optimal of funding, consumptive level and the economy. The main contents of this paper can be summarized as follows:Simulation of the impact on the operating parameters of the distribution network under steady state operation and short circuit fault conditions when Distributed Generation capacities, locations, and types are different. Summarize the prejudice of Distributed Generations to the main equipment such as related lines, transformers, switches and current protections. Based on this, propose the adaptability evaluation system of distribution network to admitted Distributed Generations. Use Analytic Hierarchy Process and Principal Component Analysis for the index weights and give the corresponding evaluation methods and processes. This method has good general applicability and practicability because the required data is readily available and the calculation is simple. Through evaluating of an actual distribution network locates the operation weaknesses of the network and proposes the principles and policies for the transformation of the network. Wherein the revamp of the policy, including equipment updating and topology transformation. Using two samples verifies the transformation methods respectively. And the result shows that, the rehabilitation programs are targeted and effective to the weaknesses of the network equipment and structure. If keep the Distributed Generation capacity remains unchanged, the equipment adaptability, operating parameters and absorptive capacity has been significantly improved after the implementation of rehabilitation programs.
