With the continuous development of energy technology and the progress in diversified conventional energy, application based on new energy such as using in power grid, plays a high profile role for most energy companies because of the incomparable advantages, effective, efficient, environment and flexible. Distributed generation is one of the most promising technologies among the search field. In view of this, a complex power system including both traditional power and distributed generation system is gradually established in Suzhou. Varieties of influences to grid are carried out after distributed generation put into operation. Unreasonable accessing methods may lead to severe negative results, so that voltage distribution and power flow changed, configuration of relay protection settings and operation mode should be adapted accordingly as well.On considering above problems, accessing method and the capacity of the distributed generation is particularly vital. In this regard, distributed generation accessing method and optimization in Suzhou area is studied, on the basis of analyzing the current situation of the distributed generation. First of all, based on flow calculation results weak spots in the grid are pointed out according to parameters such as voltage, current, and power, which provide reference for the access scheme of distributed generation. Combining with the current situation of the development and the actual demand in Suzhou grid, considering comprehensively both economy and reliability of the grid, an optimization model in distributed generation application is designed to search for a prior result, by using the genetic algorithm. Distributed generations in Suzhou area are accessed in proper ways according to the optimization results. Analysis of the monitoring data concerning the system organization influence provides a better condition to manage and operate grid.
